Jim Murphy has criticised an SNP organiser for series of scandalous comments about the death of six soldiers in Afghanistan

Jim Murphy MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Defence, has criticised comments made by Thomas Ball, reported to be an SNP activist, who used social networking website Twitter to post a series of negative posts about the deaths of six British soldiers in Afghanistan:

“This is sick stuff which will offend anyone with an ounce of decency and pride in our country. The SNP need to crackdown on these disgusting comments from this guy.

“British soldiers, including many from Scotland, serve our country with pride, professionalism, and an utter dedication to protect life.”

  1. I think the man who made this comment should be exiled from this country, as he has no place here with those comments. Our guys are doing a fantastic job considering it is not like a war where your enemy is wearing a uniform and you can recognise him as an enemy. It is inevitable that there are going to be civilian casulaties in any form of conflict, but at least with us it is pure accident. Where is the condemnatiuon from this man re the suicide bombers who don’t care whether they kill children or not.
I think he is too despicable for words, and his commenst are very hurtful to the grieving relatives and friends of the six very very brave men.
