Labour visits Roysth

The Shadow Defence Secretary, Vernon Coaker, yesterday visited Rosyth dockyard along with Labour Leader, Ed Miliband; Shadow Scottish Secretary, Margaret Curran; Thomas Doherty MP and Alex Rowley MSP.

Rosyth dockyard has been in use since 1909. It has previously undertaken refitting of Royal Navy surface vessels and submarines, and is now the primary integration site for the Royal Navy’s newest aircraft carriers – the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC).

During the visit the delegation met with workers and saw the construction of the aircraft carrier.
