Veterans UK provide a full range of information for people injured, disabled or bereaved by the service, including:

  • Support available to those medically discharged
  • Information on the Armed and Reserve Forces Pension Schemes
  • Information for relatives of those who have died in Service
  • Comprehensive details about the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme/ War Pensions Scheme including guides, podcasts and presentations on how to claim, how to deal with worsening injuries and who to contact for more information

  1. This is an excellent initiative and one that is long overdue. I understand that the Australian Armed Forces have a Judge Advocate at their Ministry of Defence whose role is to argue issues on behalf of service personnel, veterans and their dependants.
